When is classic weekend in indianapolis

Nearly , spectators watch the Classic Parade weave its way through downtown Indianapolis. The Classic draws an average of , people from across the country annually to be a part of an electrifying weekend that includes a spectacular parade, pep rally, musical performances, well-known celebrities, a battle of the bands and two historically black college football teams colliding head-to-head in Lucas Oil Stadium.

To view parking options, download the Lucas Oil Raceway Map. Lucas Oil Raceway is not located on a public bus line. Most taxi companies and ride share services, like Uber and Lyft, will make runs to the track. Animals are not allowed at Lucas Oil Raceway.

The only exception is made for service animals. General Admission seating changes daily. There are 3 suite areas; Oval Suites, Parks Tower and Concourse Suites as well as hospitality tents throughout the event. Hotel rooms are still available in Hendricks County. The route winds through downtown Indianapolis and happens during pre-game festivities before the Circle City Classic football game and Battle of the Bands. My children enjoy the watching Naptown Skate Nation, the Classic princesses, as well as the many talented marching bands and drill groups.

There are many great seats for free around the parade route if you get there early enough. Be sure to pack a picnic blanket for littles to sit on. You may have to search a bit for parking either in a garage or on the street, so make sure you allow enough time to find a spot and walk to the parade route before the parade begins.
